Artur KalinskiArtur Kaliński - the artist (graphic designer, photographer, painter), is an advisor on the modern art market. He creates original paintings, giving them the ultimate look by flakes of pure 23.75 ct. gold. He uses a minimalist form to express feelings and emotions. His work forces the viewer for deeper analysis and reflection on the message. Delicate subtleties that emphasize using the contrast between light and shadow play an important role. He draws his inspiration from such masters as Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandt van Rijn and Jan Vermeer.

The main component in his paintings is light. Not only does it creates a certain kind of story, but it also indicates the hierarchy. Highlighting the important details, he extracts them from the background, but also hides other details, it happens deforms them. The artist's paintings of light and shadow creates a climate of secrecy, and very visible layers of paint make the three-dimensional character seem more realistic.

Artur Kalinski's work focuses mainly on the human body, whose dynamic poses and surprising shots intrigue and trigger emotions. The world presented in his work has an emotional character. Among the characters are women. Author gives them a smooth line of bodies, the subtlety of the hand, radiant smooth skin and remarkable delicacy. These features make that women in his paintings exude quiet sensuality. Kaliński paints his works in stages, each time improving and properly grooming the individual details.

The artist is fascinated by the black-and-white photograph. His images often provide inspiration for traditional paintings. He uses a computer to process them, and only in the next step moves a brush to canvas. He works according to the recommendations of the old masters, of painting uses light and shadow, creating the shape of the forms submitted. These techniques result in maximum excitement.

Artur Kaliński painted a series of paintings entitled "Shadow and gold in light" under the name "Women's shapes". These are eight paintings painted with pure gold.  The limited collection shows the beauty of the female figure in a very minimalist way. Kalinski is also the author of the collection entitled "Intimately", which is composed of 10 images presenting the study of the relationship between man and woman. This is a continuation of previous images from the collection "Femine Shape".

Among his works there is a collection entitled "Woman in Blue", 11 paintings painted with only two colors. They represent the feminine silhouette in shades of blue. The continuation of this series is a collection called "Woman in blue - a new scene."

Wishing to capture time and spaciousness, the artist recently created a specific collection that can be defined as the installation of paintings based on relief. In this collection, he placed his son's face mask. His son served as a model. Each of the 10 new works shows his varied facial expressions.

Arthur Kaliński is very active as a defender of free speech. In October of last year he defended Russian art and freedom of local artists, organizing a protest against the hypocrisy of the Russian authorities and the lack of freedom of expression in the Russian artistic community. Then he tried to pass to the representative of the Russian Embassy his own painting titled "Angel of Death", which was intended for President Putin.

May 5, 2015 year in Warsaw, in front of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage happening took place under the slogan "Poland Young Art is dying!", organized by Artur Kalinski, which is opposed to the lack of support and promotion of young artists in Poland and abroad. The coffin with the installation covered with pure gold, placed in front of the entrance to the ministry, symbolized the catastrophic situation of young Polish visual arts. The appeal called on the Minister Malgorzata Omilanowska to take concrete actions that will protect the young Polish art from total collapse. Artur Kalinski’s protest met with great interest of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. The letter sent by the artist to the Minister was personally received by the Director General of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage who promised to examine concrete proposals and suggestions of the artist, which is not common practice in this type of offices.

Polish artist with a unique installation in the next stage of the prestigious art competition in Italy

Added by Press team of ArturKaliński.com website, Warsaw, 08.09.2015

Installation of the artist and performer Artur Kalinski, titled "Sleeping Beauties" has been qualified by the jury for the second stage of the international competition of contemporary art "Fifth Contemporary Art Show," which takes place in Treviso, Italy. It's a big success, given that the competition involved artists from all over the world.

forma

Artur Kalinski is the only Pole who takes part in the competition. From 5 to 13 September 2015 the artist will present the official biennial work, with dimensions 100x140cm, from his latest collection "The essence of femininity".

The author in his characteristic way shows the beauty of a woman. Two naked bodies of women lying side by side, seemingly have nothing in common. On the contrary they are strangers, because are facing in opposite directions. However, looking at the work, you will find that they are bound by a supernatural force that causes they constitute oneness. Some kind of an understatement, yet the uniqueness and originality of the installation have been noticed and appreciated by highly qualified professionals in the field of art.

- "Sleeping Beauties" is an installation other than any I've ever created. As I previously announced it is more proven and more complex than previous images. When I received an invitation to participate in such a prestigious show, I thought it is appropriate to show just this work, which is also the culmination of my current research the correlation between form and content included in a subtle veil of noble metal. Participation in this edition of "The Contemporary Art Show '' is for me a very unique event, because in this way, my art has a chance to appear not only in private collections but also in open space available to a wider audience, says Artur Kalinski.

Work on the installation took place in several stages. After selecting the appropriate models artist he casted forms that covered with black paint and then with pure gold. This precious metal plays a very important role in his work. It is a symbol of beauty and perfection. The method of gold flakes application emphasizes the uniqueness and smoothness of feminine shapes. They are shown in detail.

"The Contemporary Art Show"  has taken place for 4 years and is the result of collaboration Artica Events of Ca'dei Carraresi - the most significant museum in Treviso. The competition involved artists from more than 20 countries and every year it attracts nearly 2.5 thousand visitors who wish to view the competition entries. It is a place for the presentation of new styles, techniques and talented new faces in the artistic world.

Femine Shape

Artur Kalinski's limited edition of the "Shadow and light gold" collection under the title "Women's shapes" consists of eight paintings painted with pure gold. They reflect the beauty of the female figure in a very minimalist way. Artur Kaliński decided to capture the female form by contrasting deep shadow and light perfectly flowing over the characteristic elements of the feminine silhouette.

Paintings are painted with quick, sweeping brushstrokes, with thick paint, which gives the image the ideal spatial structure. As a result, the viewer gets the impression that parts of the image are disappearing in the dark, slightly dim glow of gold, some parts hidden behind a black, opaque curtain. But a curtain so delicate that the material clearly breaks down at the convex parts of the body.

The author plays an unusual game with the audience, capturing the imagination of viewers. The paintings show a piece of reality and at the same time draws viewers into space conjecture, encouraging the senses to see a full, undisturbed picture of a woman.

Before the collection of paintings was completed, it was preceded by many hours of work both in a photo studio as well as at the easel and in the studio of a goldsmith.

Angel of Death

In protest against the hypocrisy of the Russian government and the lack of freedom of expression in the Russian environment of art and culture, Polish artist Artur Kaliński painted a picture of the "Angel of Death" and handed him personally to a representative of the Russian Embassy in Poland. In his appeal, he called on the president of Russia to respect freedom of expression.

Woman in color 'blue'

Artur Kalinski, Polish artist, photographer and performer, painted a continuation of "BlueMotion", with  11  new images using only two colors. They represent the feminine silhouette in blue and white colors.

The artist once again turned away from the noble metal, which is gold, to bring out the depth of the female body. This time, the images are a bit bolder thanks to the full shapes of the models. The intense contrast between the deep black background and a clear composition gives the impression that the form is suspended in a vacuum, which adds to the aura of uniqueness and mystery.

Polish artist stopped time in the spatial form

Artur Kalinski, artist, photographer and performer, eager to capture time and spatiality, placed his son's face mask in his new collection.  His son served as a model. Each of the 10 new works are his varied facial expressions.

This specific collection can be defined as the installation of paintings based on relief. The artist brought new elements to the art by experimenting with different forms. He casted masks with resin and primed them with black acrylic paint, then covered them with gold, which is his favorite mean of artistic expression, because, he says, gold "symbolizes purity, inner wealth and beauty."
